Bestway 1731 - a vintage knitting pattern leaflet from the 1940s, price at 3d and in a good vintage condition. Free from knitters markings and notes, with the expected signs of age, but generally good appearance.

Knitting instructions to make a lady's jumper, with lapels, fair isle panels and lovely fitted rib sleeves.  This style is typical fashion for a lady from the 1940s.

The original yarn used was Sirdar Super Shetland 3 ply wool, with a tension of 17 sts to 2".

You should work a tension piece for success, before starting the project.

This is a great collectors item for lovers of vintage items.
